Hyde United competed in the Northern Premier League Premier Division that season. It began well but quickly turned around, and they suffered back-to-back relegations, finishing amongst the bottom teams. A poor run of results led to a change in management late in the season, yet Darren Kelly couldn’t stop the drop. They ended the campaign relegated to Division One North
